Oh, How Time Flies!

Wow...I haven't posted in a while and I feel a bit guilty, lol.

The last 2 years have passed by soooooo fast, it's unbelievable!!! It feels so weird and crazy how everything around me is moving so fast. From sun up to sun down, from Mondays to Fridays, how all my nephews and nieces are growing up, how the Earth keeps revolving, from season to season, summer to fall, and so on...everything is just sooo fast!

I don't know, maybe it's just me...I notice and focus my energy on a lot things that I shouldn't be and it feels like my brain is always running and running..that's also why I can't sleep at night. I think and reminisce about my childhood, family, friends, memories, that one girl...aha, etc...all the time that I lose track of time itself, haha.

And that's why I savor every last minute with my Loved ones!

My New Approach....

So, I have been deeply thinking and figuring out some stuff lately, mainly about myself. I feel as a person, human being, and individual, this will be a good change, not just for me but for everyone else...if they give it a shot. I've come to notice a lot of people take things for granted or become bitter over unnecessary things, whether it be about silly arguments, disagreements, the past, etc...People just become bitter and hold grudges and I am also guilty of it. We are human and not one of us are perfect and we can all learn and grow as people to better ourselves. Even if we can't better other people and sometimes we do try, but my main focus is to better "myself."

I want to take this new approach in life. And that is to "Not hold grudges and work on forgiveness." As silly as it sounds, it's actually the honest truth...lol. I've learned that when you hold onto nonsense, silly grudges, it'll only make you feel bitter and negative in life. I see and know sooooo much people that are bitter about A LOT of things and sometimes everything, that it's really saddening at times. When I speak of Forgivness, I mean forgiving myself, knowing my own flaws and accepting who I am. Then Forgiving others (people I care about and love), knowing theirs flaws and accepting them for who they are.

Once I can conquer this, I will have that much more Peace.

This isn't my Intervention..lol....It's my learning, progressing and growing as a person.

The Team Six

An article I found on the Navy SEALS Team Six

The squad that fired two bullets into Osama bin Laden's head yesterday is known as Team Six -- officially called the Naval Special Warfare Development Group (or DEVGRU) -- a military unit that recruits directly from the Navy SEALs ... making it the absolute elite of the elite.

The Navy's Team 6 is one of two ultra-secret "Tier One" US Special Ops counter-terrorism units -- along with the Army's Delta Force -- and falls under the Joint Special Operations Command (or JSOC).

The two Tier One units execute what are known as "black operations" -- missions so secret, they fall outside standard military protocol ... and often require the direct approval of the President.

In other words, only a select group of military personnel -- including President Obama and his closest advisers -- had any idea Osama bin Laden had moments left to live yesterday.

The technology used by JSOC to track and kill Osama bin Laden is still classified -- but according to reports, JSOC worked closely with the CIA to procure the intelligence they needed to execute their mission.

When I read articles, watch CNN and the news on the operation/mission performed by the elite SEALs Team Six, it amazes me how they carried out the mission with efficiency and secrecy. You only see things like this in video games. Now, I'm not saying life is a game, no, not at all. But we don't ever hear or witness such carefully carried out Top Secret missions like these SEALs did on 5/1/11. It's just so amazing and astonishing!!!

USA!!!

Woke up this morning and watched CNN, with breaking news that Osama bin Ladin has been killed. Whooo-rahhh! Now, after almost a decade from 9/11....Osamas finally put to rest and shot in the head by the Navy SEAL team Six!

Speaking of 9/11, first off. All my heart and sympathy goes out to the 9/11 families affected and the victims.

I remember drinking the night before and waking up at my friends house. Still light headed and feeling like crap from all the beer. The TV was on and all I heard was breaking news, USA was under attack and etc...I turned to watch the TV and remember thinking it was a movie. They kept showing the video of the planes crashing into the towers and I was still in disbelief. Then as the day went on and hearing everyone talking about it, I knew it was real. It was such a sad day for the US and watching the images and videos of the planes crashing, buildings collapsing and the people and city of NY in chaos was catastrophic and a dark day for America.

Osama bin Laden no more....it's now Osama bin Shotinthehead

Japan Hope Polo

I recently ordered this polo made by Ralph Lauren and it is a really nice polo. I usually buy clothes because they look nice, but this polo not only rocks, but it's also for a good cause. It's a custom designed polo for Japan and all proceeds will be donated to the humanitarian effort through the Central Community Chest of Japan. The polo cost $98 and it is well worth it, to me at least. Mostly in this time of crisis, I think Japan can certainly use more help or donations, along with the rest of the world that is suffering.

Tragic!

I follow the blog, "The Hmong in Me"

And from reading this "specific" blog, this article breaks my heart and it's really sad that tragedies like this still happens to this day, to anyone no matter of race, color, religion, etc....At the same time, it angers me as well and it hurts even more that we can't do anything about it or even try to save our Hmong people from these tragic incidents. I fully understand the world is not perfect by any means and worse events have and happens elsewhere, but this is ridiculous and meaningless.

http://nickihawj.blogspot.com/2011/04/laos-vietnam-troops-kill-four-hmong.html

Article:

WASHINGTON — Laotian and Vietnamese troops have killed four Hmong Christian women after confiscating their Bible, a US rights group said Friday, condemning growing persecutions of people for their faith in Laos.

The Center for Public Policy Analysis (CPPA) said the unarmed highland Hmong women were "summarily executed" on Thursday in northeastern Xieng Khouang province by soldiers from a special 150-member unit of the Lao People's Army (LPA) led by Vietnamese secret police and military advisers.

The government troops confiscated the group's only Bible, "brutally and repeatedly raped" at least two of the younger women before shooting them at point blank range with automatic weapons in the head and torso, it added.

Their husbands and 26 children were forced to witness the killings and have since disappeared after being beaten and tied up.

CPPA executive director Philip Smith denounced what he called a "tragic and major upswing" in religious persecution in Laos at the hands of Vietnamese and Laotian military and Communist Party officials over the past year.

"In a coordinated and expanded fashion, the Vietnam People's Army and LPA troops and security forces are especially determined to hunt down and kill independent Christian and animist believers in the highlands of Vietnam and Laos," he added.

Smith pointed to a "very dramatic" increase in persecution, imprisonment, torture and killing of Lao and Hmong Christians for celebrating Christmas or worshipping independently, as well as independent Buddhist and animist believers in the provinces of Vientiane, Khammoune, Saravan, Xieng Khouang, Luang Prabang and other regions in Laos.

Communist regimes have ruled in Vietnam and Laos since 1975. Many officials in Hanoi consider neighboring Laos an important part of their defense strategy, and the militaries of the two countries have long maintained close ties.

"We want the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Vietnam People's Army to remove all of its security forces and troops from Laos, and we want the Lao military and communist regime to respect the human rights and religious freedom of the Laotian and Lao Hmong people," said Bounthanh Rathigna of the United League for Democracy in Laos.

Laotian officials are also said to have destroyed crops in February to cut off about 60 impoverished Christians from their food supply in rural Saravan province. CPPA also cited reports of Christians being driven from their village at gunpoint.
